Our 5 mm Standup Special is designed for riders who want on-board grip performance without isolating themselves from the board.
The Standup Special brake sole is cast using our V2 durable and highly flexible polyurethane that feels good underfoot and retains excellent ‘board-feel’.

Hand Crafted with Care
Our brake soles are compounded with special additives that cannot be machine-poured like a skateboard wheel. This means that every set of soles is hand-measured, blended and poured by someone who skates.
The small batch and special compounding means some variation in color and appearance should be expected.
These can include:
Small bubbles: the result of hand mixing, even with our vacuum degassing process
Streaking: often a result of compounding
Dappling: this is also a result of compounding
These natural variations do not affect the performance of our brake soles, nor are they defects. We hope you enjoy a custom product designed by skaters, for skaters.
